Claremont & Rosemead Get Started

Claremont was the only local team to take part at the big Laguna Hills Invite, contested on and around the host campus over a somewhat hilly 3 mile (4828m) course, while Rosemead were the only ESGV team at Cerritos’ Great Cow Run, raced on a flat and fast 3 mile course at Cerritos Regional Park

The Wolfpack boys have big ambitions this year, and as expected they were led by senior Paul Ross to a 4th place overall finish behind three Div. 1 powers, despite missing one runner from their projected top group.  Paul ran 15:36 to win the Div 2 Senior race, followed in 2nd by teammate Henry Falotico in 15:39, which placed them 8th and 10th respectively, with all divisions combined.  Sondre Afdal (17:38) won the D2 frosh race and Walton Wu (17:31) was 2nd in the soph race.

The girls were led by Baily Sanin’s 19:32, good for 5th in the D2 soph race and frosh Merin Arft, 3rd in 20:17.
