The Boys defeated Ayala by 27-41 margin, taking four of the first six spots.  The individual leader was Ayala junior Steven Kahn, the clear winner in 15:14 over Claremont #1 junior Ryan Renken at 15:21.  Bonita was a solid third, led by senior Noah Anderson (8th/15:52) in the absence of State track finalist Dillon Beckum.  Diamond Bar junior Paul Abdo had a very nice day to crack the Top 10 at 7th/15:47

The Claremont girls slightly bested the boys with 25 points, but they had a much easier go of it.  Obviously running within themselves, CHS’s top five all finished with a second of each other, placing 3-4-5-6-7 – all at 18:25.  Key for Claremont was the debut of frosh Sydney Hwang in the top five, a strong addition to an already strong group.

Bonita’s edged out Ayala 62 and 64 for second.  Ayala senior Sydney Tullai was the big winner in 17:52, followed by Kelly Creese (Sr, Bonita) in 2nd – her 18:11 time showing a return to her strong form of her soph year.

The other three teams did not challenge in the scoring but Olivia Valderrama (Jr, South Hills) – 9th/18:48 and Savannah Yi (Jr, Glendora) – 10th/18:50 did round out the Top 10.
