9/21 Rankings: We’re Up to Twenty!

CIFSS-Logo-for-Website-Home-News2-e1441143644533In his commentary on the latest CIF Southern Section Division Rankings, Rich Gonzalez remarked that there were “minimal changes” this week, with only five new teams entering the rankings.  But from our regional perspective - this was big news: three of those five are from the SGV, so we now have 20 ranked teams!

The Baldwin Park Boys went from off the radar to #4 in Div. III on the strength of a great performance, from 1-7, at Woodbridge.  On the girls side, Bonita is now #6 in Div. III off of solid runs at Woodbridge and their League Meet.  La Cañada is the final addition, entering the Div IV list at #6.

And updating from last week, our first in-season SGV rankings will appear next week, after the 4th week of the season.  The plan is to do SGV rankings again after Mt.SAC, and then again after CIF Finals.
