16 SGV Teams in the Initial CIF Rankings

The preseason rankings for the CIF Southern Section were released on Friday, and 8 girls and 8 boys teams are ranked among the best in the biggest and strongest high school sports section in the country.

The Claremont girls are expected to repeat as champs for the fourth straight year, while the Flintridge Prep boys are picked to step up to the top of the podium in 2018.

Here are the ranked teams, along with how they finished in 2017.
